What is North Texas Day of Giving?
North Texas Day of Giving is an 18-hour online giving event designed to empower every person to give back to their community by supporting local nonprofits and causes they care about in one easy-to-use platform.
The event helps build awareness and support for nonprofits like nothing else. During North Texas Giving Day, everyone has the opportunity to be a philanthropist to build a stronger and more vibrant community. This year, the 12th annual North Texas Giving Day will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2020.
How Can I help the Oak Lawn Library Friends (OLLF)?
The Oak Lawn Library Friends provides support for programming, art shows at the library and online, a subscription of 100 copies of Book Pages every month for the library and a website filled with information about authors and books. During the pandemic, our website has added over 1,100 pages for individual authors.
When the Oak Lawn Library reopens in October as Library to Go use this link for information on Library to Go: https://oaklawnlibraryfriends.com/library-to-go/ , we will be there providing support to library users. We plan to provide copies of BookPage to library patrons and begin monthly online art exhibits and our 14th Annual Art Show in Dec. 2020 online.

How can I create a FUNdraising page?
Step 1: Beginning August 3, you can create a FUNdraising page for Oak Lawn Library Friends by going to the Oak Lawn Library Friends page at https://www.northtexasgivingday.org/oak-lawn-library-friends .
Step 2: If you already have a donor account, sign in. If you do not have a donor account, you can create a new one by simply clicking the green “Create Profile” button.
Step 3: Fill out the required information to create a FUNdraising page, such as FUNdraiser page title, your personal appeal, FUNdraiser goal, etc.
Step 4: Start promoting your FUNdraising page to begin raising funds for your chosen nonprofit! NOTE: As your network helps you support your favorite nonprofit, you will receive an email letting you know that someone just donated.
Now that you have set up your FUNdraising page, it’s time to share it with your network! Here’s how you can promote your favorite organization:
• Share your FUNdraising Page on social media and tag the organization you are supporting
• Send an email to your network(s).
• Let people know why you give by using the hashtags #NTxGivingDay and @WhyIGive
