The Oak Lawn Library Friends Dallas is a support group for the Oak Lawn Library in Dallas, Texas. We raise money and provide volunteers to help the library serve the community.
Our library is one of the oldest branches in the city of Dallas. It was first opened in 1929. Today we have a nice building next to the Kroger on Cedar Springs. We hope you enjoy using our library.
The Oak Lawn Library is a branch of the Dallas Public Library. The current building opened in December 1996. It was built with a public private partnership with Kroger. You can stop by the library and buy your groceries in one stop.
The Oak Lawn Library branch puts on many community programs that include adult sign language (ASL) classes, yoga classes, book clubs, etc. You can participate or just lend your expertise. Find out more today by checking out our newsletter.
Too busy to lend a hand? Consider donating! All donations are used to directly benefit the Oak Lawn Library, which include library programming, beautification projects, books, library supplies, and staff appreciation events.
