Alex Duff covered the business of sport for 15 years for Bloomberg News. He has written three non-fiction books: ‘Smart Money – the Fall and Rise of Brentford FC’, ‘Le Fric – the Business of the Tour de France’ and ‘Football’s Secret Trade’ about the shadowy side of the player transfer market. His other jobs have included working for the Associated Press in Rio de Janeiro, a tabloid newspaper in London and as a waiter in Milan.
