Andy Weir is an American published author.
Andy was born on June 16, 1972. He has worked as a computer programmer and a software engineer. He first got a job at the age of fifteen years old working as a programmer at a national laboratory. He has always been a fan of space and interested in subjects such as orbital mechanics, relativistic physics, and manned spaceflight’s history.
He would work as a programmer until the success of his first book let him pursue writing on a full-time basis. With the publication of The Martian, he was able to pursue writing as a full-time job. He lives in California.
