Brendan Cooper grew up in London’s East End on a diet of television, books, cricket, and snooker – and writes, primarily, on literature and sport. He is the author of Deep Pockets: Snooker and the Meaning of Life (Constable, 2023) and Echoing Greens: How Cricket Shaped the English Imagination (Constable, 2024). His next book – Ball of the Century: How One Delivery Changed Cricket – will be published by Constable in 2026.
He lives in Berkshire with his wife, two daughters, and a dog named Shakespeare.
