Dr. Robin Douglass is Professor of Political Theory in the Department of Political Economy, King’s College London. He is the author of Rousseau and Hobbes: Nature, Free Will, and the Passions (2015), and Mandeville’s Fable: Pride, Hypocrisy, and Sociability (2023). He is the co-editor of Hobbes on Politics and Religion (2018), and Hobbes’s On the Citizen: A Critical Guide (2020).
