Gene Pressman is a celebrated author and former co‑CEO, creative director, and head of merchandising and marketing at Barneys New York for over 27 years.
Under his leadership, Barneys became a defining force in retailing for upscale men’s and women’s ready‑to‑wear, accessories, and home furnishings, bringing high‑end brands like Armani, Versace, Prada, and Manolo Blahnik to the U.S. market.
He is a graduate of the Newhouse School at Syracuse University and has been featured in The New York Times, Vogue, and on the cover of New York magazine
