KEVIN RUDD is Australia’s Ambassador to the United States. From 2007 to 2010 and again from June to September 2013, he served as Prime Minister of Australia. He has also served as leader of Australia’s Labor Party, as his country’s Foreign Minister, and as President of the New York–based Asia Society. He is the author of The Avoidable War: The Dangers of a Catastrophic Conflict Between the U.S. and Xi Jinping’s China.
