Nicolas Mathevon is Professor at the University of Saint-Etienne, senior member of the Institut Universitaire de France, member of the Academia Europaea, and former Visiting Professor at the University of California, Berkeley, and the City University of New York.
A specialist in animal and human sound communication (bioacoustics), author of more than 100 scientific publications in international journals (including the famous journal “Nature”), a National Geographic Society explorer, he heads the “ENES Bioacoustics Research Laboratory” at the University of Saint-Etienne (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique and Inserm).
