Olivia Petter

Olivia Petter is an award-winning journalist, author, and broadcaster based in London.

As a journalist, she specialises in writing about violence against women, pop culture, dating, travel, fashion, and beauty. She also regularly writes celebrity profiles. Her work has been published in The Sunday Times, British Vogue, British GQ, ELLE, Grazia, Stylist, Refinery29, The Independent, The Guardian, The Telegraph, The Daily Mail, The Sun, and The Huffington Post.

Olivia’s work regularly leads to appearances on TV and radio, with credits including BBC News, Good Morning Britain, ITV News, Woman’s Hour, Broadcasting House, The Moral Maze, and The PM Show.

In 2017, she launched and hosted The Independent’s chart-topping Millennial Love podcast, with guests including Emily Ratajkowski, Munroe Bergdorf, Elizabeth Day, Raven Smith, Lisa Taddeo, Dolly Alderton, and Will Young. In 2023, Olivia relaunched the podcast under the name Love Lives. Guests included Hayley Atwell, Megan Nolan, and Tom Grennan.

Olivia’s first book, Millennial Love, was published by 4th Estate in 2021. Described as “honest and funny” by Pandora Sykes, the book is based on Olivia’s podcast of the same name and blends social commentary with memoir and interviews.

Her debut novel, Gold Rush, was published by 4th Estate in 2024 and praised by the likes of Yomi Adegoke, Coco Mellors, and Emma Forrest as well as earning glowing reviews in The Financial Times, Heat, W Magazine, and The Independent among others.
